Ortigas Center

Ortigas Center is a central business district located within the cities of Pasig, Mandaluyong and Quezon City. Measuring more than 100 hectares of commercial and residential developments, it is known as the second most important business district in the Philippines just after Makati Central Business District, also because it has also been developed way earlier than Bonifacio Global City.

Just like BGC, Ortigas is also nestled between two main thoroughways: EDSA and C-5. Jeepneys, buses and UV vans service routes along these important roads. Ortigas has also the advantage of it accessible to two major transportation systems in Metro Manila. Manila Metro Rail Transit System (MRT) Line 3 has a dedicated stop in Ortigas (Ortigas Station). The upcoming Manila Light Rail Transit System (LRT) Line 4 seeks to align the all-important ADB Avenue or Ortigas and Gilmore Avenues with the Line 2 segment of the LRT that connects to the city of Manila and the province of Rizal.

Ortigas has 3 main business districts, which are:

  • North side to Quezon City, The EDSA Shrine and Robinsons Galleria is situated here;

  • West side in Mandaluyong City, which is known for being the "Shopping Capital of the Philippines" for the number of shopping centers standing side by side; and

  • East side, which is a part of Pasig City and home to Ortigas Center's skyscrapers and the most richest barangay in the city (Barangay San Antonio).

An Ortigas condo for sale is a bit competitive. Ortigas Center is home to several important multinational companies, including Aventis Pharma, Citibank, Digital Telecommunications Philippines, JG Summit Holdings, Meralco, and Sykes Enterprises. Popular schools in the area are St. Paul College Pasig, University of Asia and the Pacific, and Saint Pedro Poveda College.

So if you are looking for a condo for sale in Pasig, the best ones with great commute options is in BGC

Local tip: Navigate Ortigas Center through Greenfield District, a great place to be for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone who wants to escape the office-home-office route. A climbing session at Climb Central or one hour at the Trampoline Park are fun stress relievers.
